 We are extremely pleased and excited to announce that award-winning Mark Lawton has joined as Head Chef, leading our talented kitchen team into a new chapter.

Mark’s career to date has been impressive and he brings with him a wealth of culinary experience.

Classically trained in French cooking, Mark has worked with some of the UK’s top chef’s in several Michelin starred and AA Rosette renowned restaurants, including Steve Lewis from The Botley Hotel in Southampton; Gordon Ramsay at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay and Claridge’s in London.

In his own right Mark gained the 2AA Rosette Award at The Leconfield, Petworth and retained the 3AA Rosette Award at La Belle Epoque, Heathrow among other awards before departing the UK for an Executive Chef role in America.

Mark has now arrived back to welcome in an exciting time at Albert Cottage with a new everyday Brasserie menu being introduced plus the development of an exceptional Tasting experience.

Following a hugely successful introductory launch last month you are invited to come and experience the new Tasting Menu created by Mark – which is only available on a Thursday, Friday and Saturday night

His unique style sees him creating simple food with bold clean flavours and modernised dishes which are a true delight for all foodies.

* Wine Pairing – 100ml Ladera Verde Chardonnay 2022 Chile 13% ABV

* Roasted Lamb Rump Shepherds Pie with Smoked Almond Pesto, Goats Curd Stuffed Courgette Flower

* Wine Pairing – 125ml Bodegas Bagordi Rioja Reserva, Organic 2012 Spain 14.5% ABV

* Soft Chocolate Ganache with Cherry Textures, Caramelised White Chocolate & Chocolate Sorbet

* Wine Pairing – 50ml Pfeiffer Rutherglen Muscat Australia 17.5% ABV

Menus will based on locally-sourced seasonal produce to create high quality fine dining.
