The Tasting Experience
Celeriac & Apple Soup
Served with warm cheese gougères
Wine Pairing: Chablis, Burgundy — crisp green apple, mineral elegance and gentle creaminess enhance the earthy sweetness of the soup and complement the rich pastry bites.
Rosary Goat’s Cheese Mousse
With honey, candied walnut, chicory & beetroot
Wine Pairing: Sancerre, Loire Valley — bright citrus and herbaceous freshness balance the creamy cheese while lifting the earthy beetroot and bitter chicory.
Salted Cod Fillet
With lemon beurre blanc, charred leeks & confit potatoes
Wine Pairing: Vermentino di Sardegna — saline minerality and light herbal notes harmonise with the delicate cod and buttery citrus sauce.
Isle of Wight Lamb Rump
Served with lamb shoulder bon bon, swede purée, seasonal greens & lamb jus
Wine Pairing: Rioja Reserva — ripe red fruits, warming spice and velvety tannins beautifully complement the richness of the lamb and depth of the jus.
Blood Orange & Thyme Sorbet
Finished with a dash of Prosecco
Wine Pairing: Moscato d’Asti — gently sparkling and delicately sweet, with floral citrus notes that refresh without overpowering.
Chocolate Mousse
With honeycomb, white chocolate crémeux & coffee ice cream
Wine Pairing: Sauternes, Bordeaux — luscious honeyed sweetness with balancing acidity, perfectly suited to chocolate and coffee tones.
Isle of Wight Cheeseboard
Three award-winning local cheeses with quince jelly, pickled white grapes, apple, compressed celery, celery shoots, and homemade biscuits
Wine Pairing: Late Bottled Vintage Port, Douro Valley — rich dark fruit and warming spice provide a classic and satisfying finish.
All dishes are prepared using the finest seasonal produce. Minor dietary requirements may be accommodated with advance notice; however, we regret that a full vegan menu is not available for this event.
A Setting Steeped in History
Albert Cottage forms part of the historic estate once belonging to Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. Built in the 1840s and later incorporated into the Osborne estate, it was originally connected with the gardens of Osborne House and welcomed distinguished royal guests.
Today, this Grade II listed boutique hotel is set within two acres of tranquil gardens and offers ten individually styled bedrooms – an inviting retreat for fine dining, special occasions, and relaxed island escapes.
Discover a venue where heritage, elegance and vibrant atmosphere come together – the perfect place to eat, drink, meet friends and linger a little longer.
